    Easton EA70 XC 29er wheels

Anyone riding these wheels? I haven't been able to find much on them. The plan is to use my rei dividend and their 20% off coupon so I am limited to what they have. I have been waiting for a month or more for the crossmax to come back in stock, and am getting tired of waiting. So looking for comments on these wheels. They will be going on my SS.

I have a buddy that loves his. He's never really abused them or given them any reason to trouble him also. I'll be buying a pair shortly also for a 29er build I'm putting together.

    Good luck.

Just an FYI about REI - they can basically order you any bike part you want at MSRP, so you're not stuck with what they offer online. For example, I used my 20% off + dividend to purchase an MRP chainguide - they don't sell those online.

    Just bought these wheels

Found them on ebay; trying to get something stiffer in the rear end of my Tallboy (spec'd TN719's seem pretty flexy to me/I can feel it in the corners). Made the 'mistake' of demo-ing a Tallboy at Duthie with carbon Easton's on board. Oh my! Those hoops were SO IMPRESSIVE! But if I spend $2200 on a pair of bike wheels right now, I'll be on the couch for months. I'll send out a report once I have some miles on these wheels. Plan on setting them up tubeless with a Stan strip.

I have these on my HT.
I made a mistakke of buying these, does not match my weight.
need to true the front wheel after 2-3 rides.
Can I make it stiffer by changing the spokes to a thicker one?
    Is that possible?

    Thanks.

I'm running a set on my Niner EMD and have no issues at all. Have not had to touch the spoke tension once and I am over their recommended weight range.

Those are on sale right now at Pricepoint Easton EA70 XC 29er Wheelset 2011 at Price Point I almost bought them but wanted something that could take more abuse so I went with the bulletproof Azonic Outlaws.

Nashbar has these for a steal right now... $330 a set. Wish I could find the funds right now, but hoping that Sun-Ringles go on crazy sale in the winter like last year.

I will not consider a 29er wheel with less than 32 spokes. I weigh 160lb.
    But that is just me.
