    Drive train Swap out

I 'm looking for a few good opinions on upgrading my drive train I'm fairly new to mtb. I have an 11 Giant talon 29er 2 with sram x4 rear and Shimano alivo up front, if I upgrade to 10 speed what are some fairly reliable upgrades that wont break the bank? I've got m311 shimano cranks. The bike handles well on Florida's Alafia river state park trials(some of the best in fl) Wheres a good place to start in moving up in the drivetrain world?

Sram X7 is a great upgrade that won't break the bank. I've got a few bikes in my stable that use X7 rear derailleur and shifter with an XT crankset and an XT cassette.
My son's bike is a 1x10. My wife's bike has an SLX front derailleur but yoursr will probably work fine.

Actually, I put X9 10 speed stuff on my bike in place of X9 9 speed... I actually think my wife's X7 shifts better.

SLX crankset, brakes, Shadow Plus rear derailleur, any front derailleur. XT shifters and cassete. Shimano chain. Jagwire lined housing and slick stainless cable run full length.(REI Novara is Jagwire)

hey thanks for the info I've got the jagwire stock on my bike I'd like to stay with sram they seem to be pretty decent. If I start slow and replace just the crank set my original is a 42-32-22 if I go up to a 44 32 22 will that change a lot of the mechanics that I need to replace the rear cassette also... I told you I was green but I grabbing the handlebars and riding it like I stole it down these trails thanks again for your insight.
