    Donor Bikes Anyone

I've got a winter project bike lined up, Raleigh XXIX. We have a frame, fork, headset, stem, bars and a crank/BB. This is an older maybe 2007 version without the split BB and seat stay. I was thinking about a donor bike like something from Bikes Direct. Still deciding on a SS or a geared bike. Any thoughts?

Donor bikes are the best way to buy a heap of parts. The trick is finding one at a good price. Also you have the problem of selling the unwanted frame and non fitting parts.
