    Correct adapters

So i recently won an ebay auction for a set of new take off giant p-xc2 rims.

    Giant P XC2 29er Wheelset w Nobby NIC'S | eBay

they came with tiers and rotors. i think it was quite a steal. they came off an Anthem 29.

However my bike (2013 Trek Wahoo) used 160mm rotors front and back and this has a 180mm in the front (or a 7 inch if you wish). and the front axle is 15qr rather than my bikes 9mm.

So the Question is: what are some nice adapter that you have used for 160-180mm rotors and 9-15mm axle? there are so many that are different sizes and shaped and i would like to get some that are an "industry standard" if you would. something easy, strong, and reliable.

    Thanks in advanced!

Just swap the 160mm brake rotor to the wheel you want to use.

i want to use the 180mm rotor though. my rotors are off of an entry level bike, and have some abuse on them already. the new ones are much better.

Then you need to source the proper adapter to match your brake. Adapters are different from maker to maker. So, figure out hat brake you have and get a 180 front adapter, probably post mount. Your LBS would probably be the next stop just to ensure you get the proper part.

Adapters are like $10 each, if you have the kind of calipers that would use a post mount on a post mount bike, and they are all pretty much interchangeable generic these days.

Check the brake forum FAQs. This is not a 29er specific question.
