I like rigid MTB.
Carbon rail friendly seatpost .... It has to be light(160g or less).
I'm looking for a carbon rail friendly seatpost .... It has to be light(160g or less/27.2/350mm).
Is there any post out there like this ?
EC90? I use one, it works on Fizik carbon rails. I believe its also meets your specs. 5yr warranty which is awsome. On Sale for cheap (for an older model) on Blueskycycling.com for ~$80
BlueSkyCycling.com - Easton EC90 Zero Offset Carbon Seatpost 2011
Was wrong about weight.... it may be more like 180g for the 27.2 350mm
Been running a Thomson post mated to a Prologo saddle four years now. Works great. I think it might be over your 160g target though.
I've been looking for a Ti 27.2 post with long saddle rails similar to Thomson for a couple of years now. Haven't had much luck.
Also check out Syntace. They have a long clamping surface with a 2 bolt clamp. Available in AL and carbon. They make really nice stuff.
Edit: 160g or less for a mtn bike post with a clamp and rails to support carbon is a tall order. Carbon rail saddles need a long clamp support like Syntace and Thomson Easton 90. Many of the small clamps such as Moots and Erickson clearly state not designed for carbon rails.
160g is pretty light and to get down to that weight you will need to spend some $s!. You could trim the Enve post down 50mm and it would be very close to your required weight spec and is CF friendly.
