Best 30.9 Seat post for around $50

Looking at a new seat post to switch from my stock one on my hardrock. Just trying to shed a little weight here and there when I get the chance. Looking around the $50ish price range. I'm used to a 12.5mm offset and that feels good, so something around that would be nice. Thanks

Used Thomson Elite. They normally go for around $40-50 depending on condition. Thomson setback design features 16mm of setback, not as much as some but more than your current 12.5mm setback.

If you want new, look to Easton or Raceface. Really anything that has a two bolt clamp.

I just got an Easton EA70 w/ 10mm setback. Replaced the stock tuber crap. I think the stocker was just some PVC pipe painted black. I got the EA70 off of E*ay from for like 60 bucks.

There were these Ebay KCNC knock-off posts that went for around $25 that are pretty good, and around 220g... about what a carbon post weighs. Also, the Sette APX posts are good, and about 260g (lighter than Thompson) available at Price Point. I've had a few of those over the years.

I'm 210 pounds and have yet to have any issues with either post. Let's face it; a seatpost will not make you faster. Save the cash for wheels, tires and brakes.

I had an Easton EA50 as a backup post and it worked well for about $40. I wasn't pretty or light, but it worked.
