anyone know if I can convert my m980 xtr 26/38 crankset to 24/38

by using either the xt 785 AM chainrings or slx 675 am chainrings?

    thanks

I tried an XT granny (not AM) and it would not work due to the ring spacing.

Should work fine. M980 has 64/104 BCD. Its the m985 race gear that has the 88mm BCD that you need to watch out for.

Ring thickness is different though. I ended up going with blackspire rings for the m980 cranks.

I think the XTR has a 2mm offset. Assuming you get the ring with the correct offset, will a 24 tooth ring shift ok with the 38?

blackspire 24/38 on M980 works for me. Got the 24 specific version from backspire
