    Smile Air9 tyre choice

    HI all,
I looking for help to get the best tyres for my bike.

The bike is a 6years old Niner Air9
It has done me very well, but now i want to use it for road work.

MY criteria in priority order are

    1) Fits my rims and frame ( not alot of room at the rear
    2) strong enough to take alot of torque on rear wheel
    3) a road tread that is (a) as comfy as possible and (b) fast enough
    the front rim is a ZTR29er 355
the rear rim is a ZTR Flow 29er

    What are my choices?
Any help received to give this bike a second life would be much appreciated

Schwalbe Racing Ralph is a perfect choice. In my case, perhaps 2.35 in front and 2.25 on the rear.

ok will look. Have read ite past that some the ralphs had weaknesses? probably was baout a particular rim combo.

Would these RR that u suggest fit the air9 frame. currently i have a crow 29er "29 by 2.0 folding bead on the rear, and there is only about 10mm space between it and the front derailler
I am guessing that you would recommend the RR over the schwalbe big apple then. I was initially attracted to this tyre by the idea of big air volume to make the bike a little more comfy!

OK looked at that. Ty for suggestion
I was hoping i could find a tyre with a road biased tread, such as the big apple as mostly will be used on tarmac ?(asphalt in usa?)
    Any suggestions?

Currently I have sended an e-mail directly to niner bikes to ask for the 2.35 size in front and rear. Currently I have Rrons on 2.25 size, that are 57mm wide. The 2.35, on Schwalbe web, is 3 mm wider, so we will see with the answer.

If I do not remember wrong, Racing Ralph are not recommended on tarmac, due to the fast usure on this kind of pavement.

Ah ok, then perhaps big apple 2.0 is the best to go for?
Is there any advantage in having a bigger width up front where there is more room?
