2017 Fox Float Factory travel increase, price for two kits?

At 2016 32mm/34mm FLOAT Internally Adjusting Fork Travel | Bike Help Center | FOX I read "While 2016 29in 34mm forks may have travel extended up to 140mm, forks starting at 120 or below will need a new damper to achieve greater than 120 travel."

I have a 29er Factory 34 120mm and want 130mm travel; chart tells me part number 820-02-363-KIT is the air shaft assembly.

Wanted to make sure: the above part AND the FIT4 Damper in other leg? Part # 820-08-696-KIT

Can't find price online. Anyone done this and know the parts pricing? Thanks.

edit: got the answer. About $165 to $265 for damper. Yikes.

Will the 10mm of additional travel really make that much difference to your riding Dan ... ???

Not to speak for danK, but the new frame I'm getting this week is designed around a 130 fork and some put 140. A 120 would make the bb too low and the geometry out of sorts. I'm guessing the same holds true for dan?

As westin wrote below, it's not the 10mm. My new devinci works best with 130 fork. I recently purchased a 120 Fox and was hoping to convert it to 130 inexpensively but it'd cheaper to buy a new fork and sell the like new fork. But thank you for your input.

I recently sent my 2016 F34 120 29 51mm offset to Fox for full service and asked them to upgrade the travel to 140. I emailed them with the exact text you noted and they confirmed that I only needed a new air spring (and a long travel negative air spring) but not a new damper. The travel upgrade only added $35 to my order.

I would suggest contacting Fox Service w/ your fork's 4 digit product code to confirm.

    Hey Dank,

So, what are the parts needed to upgrade to 140mm? I have got exactly the same fork.

The 140mm shaft should be 820-02-364-KIT

I recently went from 120mm-140mm on the same fork mentioned, looks like the right part number, FOX NZ reckoned there was no issue in going to 140 and I that I didnt need to replace the dampner, have had 2 rides in it and it feels fine, well, if by fine I mean SHIT HOT!
