    2013 Fox Float Service?

    Hello all

I have a 2013 Fox Float (120mm) that i had to send back to the Fox representative here (Israel) as it was faulty (they won't replace it, only replace the faulty part). I've ridden about 350miles since new.

The store told me that i should have the forks serviced every year, replace gaskets, oil etc. (this will also "get" me an additional year of warranty)

Does this sound reasonable - to need to service forks every 400miles/every year?

    Thanks

    Mike

    Bike Suspension Service | FOX

Every 400 miles seems excessive, every year seems reasonable. This service annoyance (the fabled 15 hour service) is a reason I won't ride Fox... I commute doing 150 miles per week minimum, without weekend/evening rides! I'd be servicing the things more than riding if I followed their schedule.

Maybe actual Fox owners may be more reasonable than me though

I own several bikes with Fox forks and have used them for years. It seems that the newer forks have earlier service needs. With mine I go by feel and sound, you can usually tell when they get close. I usually need to service my fork 3 times per year and my wifes bike about 1 time. You need to stay on top of the service as stanchion damage can occur.
