    2013 Fox 29er Talas 34 140-110 rebound problems.

Brand new fork. Rebound adjust does basically nothing. Can't really slow down the rebound at all. Anyone else seen this. I set sag up as usual. I have the first model as well from a couple years back and it feels lightyears better. Way more plush. When I first got the fork, I noticed a little oil leak around the upper adjustment levers on the right stanchion. Figured it was not a big deal. If this is how this fork is supposed to feel I am no longer a Fox fan.

Sounds like it was shipped no oil. Does it lock out? If no lock out, fer sure no oil.

    2013 Fox 29er Talas 34 140-110 rebound problems.

4 rides. About 70 miles. Bike climbs like a champ but little confidence all out on the DH with fork fully open. Feels like the front end is constantly close to washing out in the corners at speed. Laid her down once. Rebound nob is at max but just bounces back.

Call FOX, tell them what's happening, they will either give suggestions to fix (doesn't sound like it's something you can fix) or give you an RMA to send it back under warranty for service.

Had a 2013 CTD 29er Float fail on me. Called Fox and had it shipped off and returned to me within 7 days under warranty at no charge.

If it's still under warranty, send it back. No lock out is the give-a-way.

Well after a few months on the rebuilt 2013 Fox Talas 34 140-110 CTD I can honestly say it is complete garbage. The first go round had zero rebound damp at all. After the rebuild it dives horribly, has rebound stiction and is basically no fun at speed or in corners. To avoid diving it has to be way over inflated thus performs horribly. The rebuild likely still contains the 2013 damper. I have the 2011 34 RLC Talas as well and it is lightyears better. The CTD is so bad that it makes me not want to ride my new bike in favor of my RLC fitted bike. Time to figure something out. Hopefully Fox makes it right or I'm no longer a fan. Any ideas? I'm thinking I'll see if they will upgrade to the 2014 dampers and if it still sucks change to a Pike.

Perhaps try a higher oil level, proper inflation, and try backing off on the rebound, it's probably too slow. Wipe the stanchions with silicon spray lube (don't get on the brakes of course), helps a lot with stiction.

The 2013 CTD fork damping seems to have been put into production without proper testing. FOX is swapping customers to the 2014 damping for $70. I sent FOX an email and they sent a RA # right away. Happy camper here. It's now working the way it should!
