2012 specialized Stumpjumper Roval wheels - question

I would like to upgrade my stock roval wheels any idea what the specs on the wheels - qr size, spacing, etc - can't find the specs anywhere. Any suggestions for light Clydesdale wheel set?

I swapped out the wheels on my 2012 Stumpjumper last winter. You have a lot of options, as long as you get hubs that fit the fork and frame. The rear hub needs to be a 142x12mm thru-axle. The front hub is a 15mm thru-axle. I went with Hope Pro 2 Evo Disc hubs. They had a reputation for being well-made and they're relatively affordable.

If you're a heavier rider, I would recommend going with 36 spokes. The stock wheels have 32. The extra spokes add a lot of rigidity. For rims, you should think about whether you'll want to go tubeless or not. I'm running tubes, and went with Mavic hoops, but if I had to do it again, I'd probably go with Stans rims, so I could have more tubeless options.
