    New question here. 1 x 9 , 9 speeds, 29T front and 11 - 32T rear. Is it OK for a 29er ?

I'm doing most Cross Country with the 29er.

    Thanks.....

Sounds pretty good to me. I run a 1x10 with a 32t chainring and a 12-36 cassette. A 29t ring with a 32t big cog gives you an almost identical low gear at mine, and after a period of adjustment, I'm climbing just as well now as ever.

    32/29=1.10
    36/32=1.12

Not much difference there. Unless you are needing some real low climbing gears you should be fine.

I'm running a 28t front 11/36 rear and there have been a couple times i've wanted an even easier gear. Especially toward the end of really long rides. I've been throwing around the idea of getting one of those ebay 40t cogs.
