My air 9 is at 27 lbs. From reading these posts, that weight sounds like it's pretty heavy. I just changed out the WTB all mountain wheels with ZTR 355's with Hope hubs, changed the bar and stem to a light Race Face combo, so I was a little disappointed it didn't weigh in lighter. I'm not sure what the weight was before, but I'll find out eventually when I have to give these wheels back to my buddy.
Unfortunately I don't have any extra money to throw around to lighten it up a few more pounds, but I still love it so I can't complain.

I just finished building up the large highball. With pedals and H20 cages fully built and 2x10 it weighs 20# even. With a lighter stem and seatpost (planned at some point), it will be 1/3lb lighter, and I could get it to 2/3lb lighter with light pedals, but I like the 310 gram xtr pedals.

2011 Stumpjumper 29 HT. 25lbs/11/3kg out of the box.

Added Welgo magnesium platform pedals. Replaced the somewhat delicate but light Specialized S-Works Renegade 2.0s with more durable and better cornering WTB Bronson 2.2s and replaced the Specialized BG Phenom Comp seat with a more comfortable SMP Selle. Now 27lbs/12.25kg.

If I were racing I'd certainly go the other way......probably capable of 21-22lbs.. ish.

I picked up a sweet 2010 Orbea Lanza from craigslist built up with a X9/X0/XX component mix (drivetrain/brakes/fork, respectively), and Bontrager Rhythm Elite TLR wheelset. Total weight is 24.75 lbs...which is pretty irrelevant given my 6'3" 210lb frame.

My Orange Gyro weighs in at a mighty 31.1lbs, either that or I need a new scale!

Untitled by Jamieson Just J, on Flickr

It only bothers me when I lift it up and down in the garage as on the trails it's certainly the quickest bike I've ridden so far. I am intending to change the stock parts quite comprehensively though so I'm hoping to get it to around 26-28lbs when I'm done.

Very fast bike and extremely efficient. With a few upgrades it will easily be under 26lb. Not bad for an AL FS 29er.

Just a lil bit over 25 pounds, my front Racing Ralph suddenly exploded (warranty replacement in the mail) a couple of weeks away that's why the bike is on the Kenda SB8 in the picture

My 2011 EMD at just under 26.5lbs. Wheels and tyres weigh almost 10lbs alone! So that'll be the first to get upgrades to shed a few

Have seen a lot of cool bikes on this forum but this bike is awesome and under 19lbs fully rigged and ready to ride - you gotta post some more pics and build details. Some bikes have impressive weight but look more like a cross bike, yours looks like a real MTB.

Tight work on this MTB rocket ship !

2013 Stumpjumper Carbon Comp 29 size XL weighs in at 12.715kg (without pedals).

Note that the cassette and crankset have been upgraded to Sram XO, so the stock bike will weigh a little more. The stock cassette weighed around 500gm and the XO cassette came in at 238gms. The XO cranks have taller gearing over stock as well but I have not noticed any drawbacks on the trails especially on any monster climbs, my lowest gear is low enough and its nice to have the taller gear for any wide open downhills.

I forgot to put FSR on the original note. Specialized really need to come up with some new names for these bikes, the Stumperjumper family has too many derivatives!

You're right, I hadn't really noticed that before. There is an XL size Cannondale in this thread, same thing, you wouldn't know it was a 29er, the extra large frame just blends in with the 29" wheels.

Just a thought about everybody who is posting their bike weight. Shouldn't you also post the frame size? A 21inch frame should weigh more then a 15.5. I would think it would help because you want to be able to compare apples to apples.

Like I said, just a thought. Carry on, or should I say ride on!

Maybe some are using the bathroom scale method which is why I won't post my bike weight (I don't own bike scale).
