I love my 2013 Giant XTC 2, it's a pleasure to ride and just too much fun. I would like to spend a bit of money making it a all mountain build. I want to try save weight and also put some fatter treads on it and a wider all-mountain handlebar and a shorter stem.
I'm looking at getting these rims FULCRUM Wheels - Products: Red Metal 1 XL with 2.35 nobby nic's or any other 2.35's you guys could suggest that are as meaty and lighter. The hans dampf look a bit to extreme for me.
I want to get a longer handlebar out of aliminum about 760mm and a all mountain 60mm stem.
If you guys have suggestions for a build of parts to get me a all mountain build while shaving off half a kilo or more leave your suggestions.
Money isn't too much of a object, prepared to spend $1k
This is aimed at owners of XTC's who have had success by lightening thier bikes. I would like to know the drop from going from the stock parts ( handlebar, stem, seatpost, wheels, tyres, tubeless ) to the new upgrades. And advice on what to get.
And also how much do these stock parts weigh!
