    Ventana El Capitan

Last fall I sold my Salsa Big Mama and just finished up the El Cap posted below. My only goal was a more fun version of the Big Mama that was good for all day rides. I'm pretty stoked about how it turned out.

Looks fancy, but how does it ride and why isn't it filthy?

Meh. Rainy weather, wet trails, and lots of time at work.

It will get dirty....give it time.

Nice bike! I'm curious about what's different about this bike that makes it more "fun" than the Big Mama? Fun being a relative term. Did you go with custom geometry or is it just that the El Cap had different geometry already?

140mm travel versus 100mm on the big mama would be a definite starting point.

Extremely cool looking bike. Always wanted to give Vntana a try. Let us know how the suspension feels compared to other bikes.
