    Trigger 29 vs fuel 29

I realize they just came out but has anyone ridden both bikes? I have parking lot/ stair case tested the trigger 1 and loved it but haven't seen a fuel yet. I won't be able to trail test either bike. My local shop can get them both for me at a great price and I would prefer to get one from them. I am looking for an all mountain/ trail bike no racing just fun on the trails. Thanks -Ross

I have the Trigger-1. I could have the Trek if I wanted it. I am sure it's a great bike but even if the two bikes were of equal ability and quality I would still get the Trigger because of the unbelievable Lefty Super Max.

Thanks for the info. Have you had yours on any really tight trails. We have some that can get tight around here. That is my only concern with the bike.

    +1 for Trigger 29er 1.

Hands down... The most fun bike I've ridden or owned. Amazingly capable, and just makes you wanna play.

+2 on the Trigger. One of my favorite bikes of all time. It has really short chainstays for a 29er, so no issues whipping it around the tight stuff.

+3 on the Trigger. So stable at speeds and so nimble on the tight/tech stuff; the bike absolutely plows through rock gardens. If you're still on the fence, check out this article.

Check out my latest video. You wont see my Trigger 29er-1 because I am filming from the handlebar. The point is look how smooth this bike is at speed over the logs and the rock bridge towards the end of the video. This bike is like Jeckle and Hide. It will the tightest corners and yet it is completely stable at speed down hill.

I'm on a Trigger 29er1 and love it. While the Lefty is awesome I really enjoy the dual mode DYAD shock. I'm a stand up and mash person most of the time. Being able to flip a switch and have the bike stiff and responsive or soft and plush is great. I demoed a few different full sus bikes before I got this and while the pro-pedal features were nice none of them worked like the DYAD does. Granted setup may not have been optimal on the demo bikes. I also rode the most tech riding I've done to date on the Trigger yesterday and it performed awesome, very tight rocky trails. The bike is far more capable than I am.
