    Torn between 3 bikes

    Hi guys,
Im torn between 3 bikes for local Long Island Singletrack off-road trails.

    Specialized Stumpjumper HT
    Specialized Stumpjumper EVO
    Specialized Crave PRO

Im looking at 2014 models because I think I can get a bargain for them.

The Crave pro and SJ EVO have the FOX CTD fork, while the others have a manual adjuster on the fork itself.

The Crave pro and SJ Evo have 100mm fork travel, while the SJ COMP has 90.

The SJs both have through axle mounting systems, while the Craves all have QR.

    Any suggestions are welcome.

Are you open to options other than Specialized, or are you a devout? There are other seriously good options that don't begin with S

Agreed. I found it strange his short list is one manufacturer. When I got down to my list of three for my most recent purchase, they were three similar bikes by three separate manufacturers.

I have a 2013 carve which is a good fast XC bike. It is good on single track, fire roads and trail centres. The only upgrade I did was to put on XT brakes. Apart from that just wear and tear replacements like a new cassette and chain.

In my opinion the Trek Superfly range is superior to the bikes posted in the OP. Check it out "Somewhatstock".

I just bought a 2014 Superfly 8 and could not be happier. It is a sweet ride. Go to your LBS, you can probably find a good deal.
