Is there any way to add a Vassago thread in the manufacturers section?

I think it would be cool to have the Vassago threads all in one place. I think there is a lot of useful information out there. I have a Optimus on the way and will switching my part over from my Bandersnatch.

I would like to see one too. I know people have asked in the past, but nothing happened.

Perhaps the new company needs to earn it first. Make good bikes, represent them well, walk the walk for a while. The last one did not, at least at the end of things.

I don't think this is about Vassago having to earn anything. It is about consumers that have bikes from the old company and consumers who are interested in Vassago bikes being able to find and share information with other riders. There are plenty of threads out there and it would nice for us MTBR readers to be able to find them in one place.

    That makes absolutely no sense.

I assumed the OP was asking for a dedicated section in the forums just for Vassago, like Trek or whatever has. Perhaps I misunderstood. If he just wants to bundle threads, then that is something else.

It stands to reason that they should be around a while in the new guise before they would get their own section...that was my point.

I'd love to see a dedicated Vassago thread in the manufacturers forum. I don't have one yet, but I have my heart set on a VerHauen later this year. It would be great to see all the info. in one place instead of having to search high and low for it.

Ditto that. Just finished building up a new Bandersnatch. Me likey. I dealt with Tom at Vassago for several months, numerous emails before all was done. Always responsive and helpful. I'd like to see them in the manufacturers forum.
Use it, use it, use it while you still have it.

I don't think it has anything to do with reputation etc. From my understanding all manufacturers who have dedicated forums pay for them in the form of advertising. I could be wrong, but I recall reading something like that in the past.
As a Vassago owner of about 5 years I would like to see this.

Once again, your logic does not hold up. Please see early post!

    It is worthless at best.

For those who like and continue to like Vassago, it would be beneficial for them.

If you are not a fan point taken. Have a nice life!

I owned, enjoyed and very much liked a Vassago SS for a few years (and said so many times in blogs, etc), sold it to someone who still rides it...last night actually. I knew the old employees and talked to them regularly.

My life IS blessed, thanks for caring.

Just wanted to stop by and say, I totally agree. Would love a Vassago area in the manufacturers section of the forums.

As the owner of a Jabberwocky and a VerHauen I'd be interested seeing a centralized Vassago sub-forum.
I'd like to think that there would be some transparent qualifiers for such a designation.
I don't ascribe to the logic that a company needs to have their customer service merit badge to qualify. I could argue that having a dedicated sub-forum would actually be more useful when there were issues, as was the case previously.
Fortunately those issues are behind all of us and we can appreciate the solid company Vassago is today.
    Cheers,
    M

As stated earlier in this thread, money talks. If you want a Vassago forum, talk to Vassago.

I spoke with Tom about 18 months ago and it was something they were looking into. At the time he was working on the re-launch, so I'm sure he had higher priorities back then.

If it wasn't for this forum, I wouldn't have heard about Vassago, and would have never bought my green Jabba which I love!

Captain_Ame is correct in that Vassago would have to pay sponsorship to MTBR.com in order to run a dedicated forum.
