they look a lot like the bars on my...

old Bridgestone XO-5. I raced that dang thing in the'04 & '05 24HRS of Adrln and the '05 Sea Otter w 38c and 44c tires, single speed/rigid and those crescent shaped bars. I have to say I love em personally.

I would only advise that you run a very strong stem with em, as in one that won't let the bar slip when you are bounsing up n down the trials (because of the increased leverage due to the bars sweep). A downhill type stem with the appropriate length comes to mind.

Luckily my X0-5 has a bit of a longer top tube to make up for the shorter reach distance, thus i dont need to run a longer stem, so I can easily use the bar with a stubby DH stem.

    Anyway, that's my 2 cents!

With the sweep, they are VERY narrow (for my taste).

What're they going for at your LBS, mate? I've been dying to try them, but have had a very hard time getting my hands on them.

I think there were selling for $30.

SOMA has these on their site for sale directly.
