So my Vassago Jabberwocky SS finally broke. I swear, i need to learn how to ride or i will brake this one as well. I'm on a waiting list for a custom builder which will probably take about a year or 2:madman: So, while i sit and wait...i got this.
Medium in Black
70mm Silver thomson for that wanna be DH/FR feeling.
780mm Chromag chrome bars extra effing wide because i suck on the DH.
im just glad i was able to transfer all the parts from my Vassago.
But i couldn't help to put a little bling on the grips by Portland designs.
Singlespeed, Anderson Truck Trail, sunset and wife....the future is gonna be great!
It's a completely different bike! IMO, it climbs better off the saddle and descends even better. When it's finally my turn to get fitted for my custom frame, i would want a similar geometry.
I don't exactly know where but i have a feeling Warm Enchiladas might have something to do with itcertainly Milagrosa trail paved the way for its demise. my wrist still hurts just thinking about it.
Killer bike, man!
well... except for that goofy ass thing next to your rear brake lever.
izzat the whoop ass switch for your stoke monkey? :arf:
Nice bike. A buddy of mine has a Jabber, and we sometimes switch rides between my N9 and his. They are worlds apart. That said, I love the Nimble, and I'm sure you will too.
I just got back from my usual East Mountain ride with a little bit of DH and a little bit of chunk. This bike is very different from the Vassago. Really nimble and fast! The shorter chainstay helps a ton on the off the saddle climbs but i will need to get used to the shorter stem.

That last photo looks very familiar think i might have ridden there a couple of hundred times, well driven past there most of time. Nice bike and nice photo.
What size is the bike? Perhaps if I run into you out there I could give it spin, see what the short CS is really like...
Rich, that is to funny! I'm fixin to put my Canzo on the market shortly(possibly the Jabber as well) and looking at the N9 for a new build. You gotta get one and stay with the status quo!
Heard you lost your riding buddy? Pretty wet & muddy where he's going
Very nice indeed, looks really sweet except I think they jipped you and forgot to add gears haven't refreshed the page, so maybe someone picked it up, but try and re-route that front brake cable inside the fork leg. As for custom, I'm thinking maybe you're thinking Ti, but after riding this puppy for a while you might just change your mind if it rides like I think it will Oh and yeah, killer last pic, stick your name on a bigger/higher rez version and give us the link, would love a new wallpaper, although the aulity on the 1024 image is decent enough to stretch to 1680. Hope you don't mind.
Don't feel bad for the short stem and the looong bars. I recently installed a 780mm Salsa Whammy (from a 680 mm) on a 90 mm stem. I ride a rigid 17 inch steel 29er SS. I did it because i knew that climbing would be favored. And it certainly was ! But, a pleasant surprise was increased 'compliance' up front when on a DH, specially rocky or rooty ones.
Ride on !
