Schwalbe Hans Dampf in trailstar compound

so have these meats hit the trails yet? i was wondering if the Schwalbe HD, 2.35 in the trailstar compound would be available in 29er world and according to their website, it does exist. however it's 'out', and i'm not sure if that means it's not available to purchase yet, or if it has been and sold out. anyone ride them yet? from what i've heard of this tire and compound in 6er format, it should be a very strong option for AM riding in the PNW and NE climates.

^I've got most of the parts on hand, should be early January but this rain=snow up high. Waiting on a headset being shipped from Cane Creek, and for my hoops to be built up. (wish I could build them myself) Went with 2.25 Ardents (in the mail), as I didn't know a the HD was available as it is now. Would like to get off the Maxxis bandwagon and try some different rubber on my Range this year.

PS DB North Van had the sale on. Check the Inside Line

i don't but in 26 it's quite large. one look at the tread design, it's going to be larger than either of those 2 and grippier, probably slower too.

They're showing up at Bike Bling's site now, thankfully marked down somewhat from MSRP, too. I'm not sure whether or not they're actually in stock, but I just ordered a pair in Trailstar. We just got over a foot of snow, so immediate availablilty isn't really an issue for me.

I've had one ride on mine (in UK, bought from Germany). It's sooooo grippy. Possibly too grippy - I might need to get a Pacestar instead.

interesting observation. indeed, the tread pattern is hella aggressive, with angles in all directions. it wouldn't surprise me if it offers incredible grip on almost any surface. an argument could be made that the softest compound may not be necessary!

so it is like, the greatest tire ever, or what?
