Rockhopper SL SS 29er Frameset or Carve Pro 29 Singlespeed Frame

I'm looking to upgrade from my Haro Ally, these are my current options: Rockhopper SL SS 29er Frameset or Carve SS.

The Rocky has h/set, seatpost & saddle but is going to be $50 more for me. Which frame do do we all think would be the better option, The Carve would be a little more future proof with the tapered head tube. But the Rocky's got the extra parts which would be be more than the extra dollars.

Would appreciate feedback from those who may be riding these options as to what they are like?

I understand that there are still unsold 'Hopper SS frames at the Big S. However, based on some fondling but no riding, the Carve frame looks to be fairly improved over the older 'Hopper SS. We shall see. This frame is not slated to be sold in the US. Bummer.

Sorry for the big pic...linked from my blog musings about the new frame.

It's got longer chainstyas though than previous offerings, which was the main attraction.

Go with the Carve unless you plan on running it SS. The Carve is not a SS frame, you'll have to run a chain tensioner unless you plan on using gears.

    Now also found some Dambalas

Now found a Dambala in a 21 which works out to be the same effective TT as the l/19" specialised frames. Its also $200 cheaper!

These are the 2 links to the different specy frame models:

I just got the Specialized Carve SL. It is a BLAST! Its light a responsive. I do want to upgrade the brakes soon, but that is my only complaint.
