Question about installing Jagwire Ripcord w/ BB7

Tried the Brake forum but traffic seems pretty slow there. I figure I'd try here since many have recommended pairing Jagwire Ripcord wirh BB7.

I've ran into a bit of a snag while installing the brake housing. If you look at #7 in the instructions, is the POP end cap supposed to slide all the way into the BB7's upper rubber boot or does it stop at the middle where there is a jamb point right under the second "P"?

it should fit all the way down into the rubber boot if it doesnt just replace that with a regular end cap

Actually the POP does slide in all the way into the boot. I just wasn't sure why it has a stop jamb (or whatever you call it) where the smaller tube meets the bigger tube. The smaller tube fits nice and snug, but then the POP end cap looks a bit weird with the bigger tube sticking half an inch out of the rubber boot. It's a very tight fit with the bigger tube in the boot.

it should be tight as the rubber boot is there to keep the gunk out ... the most important thing is that the cable end is seated all the way into the brakes cable stop

I just used a regular end cap on the BB7s.

The Ripcord kit is pretty good. Will make the BB7s work very well!
