Very nice, good thing its a 29er, IMO all 26er single speeds should go straight to hell. Been there, hated it. Talk about no rolling resistance whilst climbing.

Ha, yep! Can't even imagine going back to a 26er. The stable is full of 29ers.

I'd post my 26" SS in here if it wasn't a 29er thread, just for you guys.

I sold my 29" rigid SS and bought a 29" HT, still have my 26" SS.

Nice lines on that thing, ernvil!

Right. I don't want to beat a dead horse but climbing on a 26er single speed compared to a 29er SS is like someone tied a thick rope around your waist and is pulling you back. Whats worse is when you are on a SS 26er and a bunch of clowns on 29er SS comes around the bend and passes you and says "on your left"

After that, when you get home, you turn on your orbital grinder and cut the top tube and report to your wife or girlfriend your frame broke and start shopping around for a 29er SS frame

If I ever go back to rigid it'll have 2.8-3.0 tires on it, maybe even have both 27.5" and 29" on the same bike!

All bikes are good. I consider a 26" SS a trainer for a 29" ss since it is much harder to ride. When you get on the 29"er you will fly.
Full rigid SS, Hardtail SS, Hardtail Geared, Full Suspension Geared.

lol, it's a frankenbike as it sits, still waiting on SS spacers and some finishing touches. You can see it here, post #6296: The "New" Post Your Singlespeed! - Page 126- Mtbr.com

Here's the Monocog before I sold it, part of me wishes I still had it, the other part thinks there's bigger and better in my future.

Never did get a good shot of it.

SS evolution. My newest, the Stooge with 29 and 650+. And my first SS built mostly from the parts bin. It was plenty fast at the time, since everyone else was on 26" too. Drank the Kool Aid in '98, basically built it around a Surly 1x1 hub someone gave me. Laced some wheels, added some sweet Krylon flames, and I was hooked.
