    Need a little help...

the choices are overwhelming.. i need some help from the pros out there...

i have a narrowed down my search to two wheelsets, both in used condition,

    1) stans ztr crest set up tubeless with 3.30 hubs

    2) chris king hubs laced to dt swiss 7.1

which would be the better buy they are close in price.

im looking for durability and lightweight.

my gut tells me the chris king set, just because i know nothing about stans

sorry if this is a common post for you pros out there... just a little overwhelmed with all the x,y,z's

I know nothing of these two wheelsets, but you might consider running a google search for reviews on each. That is something I do with great frequency if I want to research how others feel about a given product.

I have the arch ex with the 3.30 hubs....one of the best values. I was worried at first but they work awesome. Crest is just a lighter weight rim and a max rider weight of 185 lb I believe? I almost went for the crest but I'm almost 200lb geared and didn't wanna take a chance in my daily rider. I'll most likely get s set of crest/3.30 for XC racing. My local shop sells the wheelsets for $425.

King stuff is awesome...but cost a lot. King or hope hubs matched to the ztr crest or arch ex would be a nice build! But my personal favorite wheelset is the mavic crossmax...if I had the money those would be on my bike right now. had the st's on my 26 incher and they were amazing...I'd imagine the 29er version would be as impressive.

Just an FYI, new, those Chris King hubs are worth more than the entire ZTR wheelset, hubs alone would make it worth it as the ZTR wheelset new is normally around $500 NEW, so used should knock that down a good bit. If you can get F&R CK hubs in good condition for that price I'd grab them. What's "near" in price BTW?

Like the others said the normal ztr's typically run $500.

Laced to Chris King hubs normal price is more around $1000.

Just picked up a used set with the Chris King hubs myself for $550.
