    Hi,

The weight with a diferent components (Thomson seat post, Selle Italia saddle, hydraulic brakes, etc) is around 11 kg, but is with titanium fork.

Yesterdays I did my first ride (25 km) and the two principal caracteristics are the low transmission noise and gearshift smoothness. About noise, the 7th and 14th gear they have noise (clic, clic, clic...) but not is annoying noise and just needed go up or down a gear to solve the issue.

If you want more information, please, tell me something. I would like help with all information you needs.

I agree, beautiful bike! The pinion gearbox sounds incredible from what I've read as well.

Curious to know the geometry details, can you share those? I'm wondering if the gearbox would get in the way of a shorter rear center.

    Hi MattgVT,

Yes, all Jeronimo frames are custom, so you can make with all geometry you want. You can see my geometry in next drawing. A special, you've asked BB drop with 73mm, for to lower the center of gravity. I can't tell you if it's possible make shorter rear triangle, sorry.

Wow - that's a beautiful bike, congrats. How does the shifting of the gearbox compare to a standard derailleur system?

Thanks Holmes, the shifting is very smoothness, more that Rohloff gripshift system. I don't know SARM gripshif system, so I can't compare between these two technologies.

Do you experience any drag from the gearbox?

That's pretty cool. My first thought was that it's quite a bit to sacrifice in geometry and upgrade flexibility just to get rid of derailleurs. But, it's no different than having multiple bikes for multiple purposes where the parts aren't interchanged much.

That is around $3400. I would have thought it would be much more than that! Very nice bike by the way!

that is something you don't see everyday. I would have considered it but already have my Ti frame with Rohloff. The weight and price is pretty good I think. I paid much more than that for my setup.

How does the gearing compare with rohloff? I assume there is no freewheel in the crank, so what you do have on the hub?

Finch2, besides rear hub, the gearbox have a freewheel too, so if you touring pedals backwards, the chain does not move.

I have been Rohloff usuary about 5.000km and 3.000km with Shimano Alfina 8S, so for this reason, I can compare very well this three sistems, but I need more time to test Pinion gearbox. For example, Rohloff hub have noise in all gears, above all in first 7 gears. And when you stop to give the pedals, in downhill, the noise becomes excruciating, for my opinion of course. In contrast, Alfine hub is all silence, eventually becoming danger if you ride in downtown because pedestrians do not hear you coming, but don't have operational accuracy or utilization range of the first two systems.
