Manitou Minute 26 convert to 29er

    Hi there

    I have a task to convert Manitou Minute (140TA, 26", year 2006 or 2007) to 29er fork.
Minute 29er lowers available at CRC, cost around $150.

I realize, that 26" and 29" stanchions have different offset (41.28mm vs 47.60mm).
    So, questions:
    1) are there any other compatibility issues (mechanical, I mean, that smth just won't fit)
    2) how would the difference affect the steering, is it really _drama_?)))

Oh, target bike - GF Marlin 2012 (stock Suntour XCM fork is miserable - it has play between stanchions and bushings out of the box)
