New question here. looking for a softail 29er frame...

hi... before i started, i googled around and there was a post here about that, however, the models mentioned there like siren song dos niner were all discontinued, fango doesn't seem to be my size (i'm 6'3), and the only i found close to it was mooto ybb,

so are there still any such bakes left? also.. i noticed that none of them have rear rack eyelets, is there a reason for that? meaning can one place rear racks on softails?

Grab a moots and have them weld eyelets on. Just tell yourself buying a moots is your only option

looking for a softail 29er frame...

Have you contacted Brendan at Siren? The Song was always a custom frame, so he might still be willing to make you one even if it is not listed on his website as a standard model.

Curtlo will still make a custom steel softtail for ~$1,000. That will get you all the eyelets and braze-ons you want. Down side is about a 6-9 month wait.
    Enjoy the ride!

2014 Salsa Spearfish. 80mm rear travel, very light frame weight, an advanced suspension design that should eliminate most suspension drawbacks, and still give that little bit of cushioning you are looking for.

Sadly the spearfish has it in the triangle. That's why I wanted a softtail

Do you have your heart set on using a rack? Mounting it to the rear triangle of a softail would increase the unsprung weight of the rear, making the suspension work differently. I use the big Revelate seat bag on my Siren softail. Handles great.
