Land Cruiser or Marathon Extreme on a monster crosser?

Has anyone got any experience with either of these Schwalbe tires? Even though they seem to be aimed at the treking market they both look like possible monstercross tires in 40's but I cant find much written about them and none of my local shops have them in stock.

I am looking for something that rolls and wears well enough for everyday commuting but that I can take offroad on the rocky and steep section of singletrack I pass each night

My cyclocross bike has enough room for 40's in the back but not much more, tons of room up front though.

    Cheers

Currently I am using extremes on my salsa. It is real 40mm tire, durable, rolls nicely on pavement, holds well on muddy trails. The only downside is weight (560g each). I think that it is good choice if you don't whant to worry about tires.
