Good info. I'd like to change out my crank set and cassette in the future. Lot of weight with that solid crank as well.

My weight of 30 included my cyclometer, underseat tool pouch with spare tube, multi, and co2, and bottle cage.

Just over 20lbs at the moment. Should be well under 20 when the new stem, seatpost and tires arrive.

    29lbs of course!

With my steel frame, I've gotten my SS up to 29lbs. (Isn't that what a 29er should weigh anyway?!) jk,jk...

OK, I had a table on here as an image but it did not show up. I will try again with text. Also, I ended up taking my bike to the LBS and they weighed it for me so now I hopefully have a more accurate weight.

My Cobia weighs in at 30.93 Lbs at the Local Bike Store on a digital bike scale (this replaces my bathroom scale measurement of 29.5)

The weight of 30.93 includes a wireless Trek Speedometer and one bottle cage installed. I swapped out some parts and brought the weight down to 28.14 (this is higher than the 26.8 I noted above because of the bathroom scale error).

Here are the changes I made. (weights in grams from good scale)
New Part weight weight of old cobia part
RXL seat and RXL seat post 414 736
    Frnt RL Rim 905 1078
    Front Quick Release 36 82
Front XT Brake setup (all parts) 290 334
Grips (Ergon with extender) 251 93 (going up here)
    Rear RL Rim 1129 1309
    Rear Quick Release 38 88
    SRAM 990 Cassette 303 452
Rear Avid Rotor and Bolts 138 144
Pedals (Kona LG) 543 415 (going up again)
    XT 760 Crank w/3 rings 763 952
Hollowtech II bottom bracket 89 289
    Frnt XT derailer 166 150
    rear XT derailer 224 252
rear XT Brake setup (all parts) 301 340
Race XXX lite carbon handlebar 184 269
    FSA stem 120mm 6 deg 162 192
    XT shifter set R/L 250 254
Front Avid G3 rotor and bolts 115 142

Total difference in Lbs is 2.79 for a final weight of 28.14 Lbs.

Changing my pedals and hand grips back would help bring this under 27.5.

Hope this helps anyone looking to upgrade for weight purposes. I upgraded because I had the parts on a 26 inch mountain bike and just swapped them over because I had them.

Should also ask to post rider weights, super lightweight stuff is cool, but not for heavy and/or strong riders. Light weight is good to a point.

15.5" 2012 Stumpy Evo HT 29er; 23.5 pounds. Upgrades/changes over stock include Roval Control 29 wheels and Renegade Control/S-Works Fast Trak tires, Shimano 520 pedals, and Alligator Serration rotors. I weighed 164 this morning, naked, after I took a leak and a dump...hey, every gram counts right?

    Moto Ti 29er weight

Out of the box w/Shimano clips added, it weighed out a 23.5 lbs. Just changed out the Kenda Small Block 8's for Geax Gato front and Sagaro rear, so I'm guessing I'm closer to 24 lbs now.

My Yelli Screamy comes in at a touch under 27lbs. I think the bike could really do with a reverb and maybe some longer fork (120/130mm) so it'll probably be closer to 28lbs. Solid build though and can certainly handle some abuse.

    Pair of Vassagos

When I still had it it was a hair over 25 pounds (via the bathroom scale, which proved to be fairly accurate over a 2 year period).

Just under 28 pounds (same method as above).

Trek Stache 8ish. It's similar in build to the 8, but with some burlier parts in key places. 31.5 pounds and its perfect. I've got no plans to reduce that. I weigh 265 pounds and like technical aggressive riding, if I build my bikes much lighter I start breaking stuff.

Eh, you could drop plenty of weight with some Enve wheels, bar, and stem, but probably not worth it to you.

Definitely sturdier than the current set up, though.

I know carbon is pretty bomb proof, but when I was buying the bar and stem I talked to a couple of my sales reps and got the same answer, unless I planned to replace the bar every time I crashed that I should stick with aluminum.
