Fisher Rig, 31 lbs. geared. Mechanical brakes and some portly tires fatten it up.

That's not a Specialized frame. Looks like a Niner.

    What's with the rebranding?

Or is it a 2014 SW Stumpjumper that you are giving us a sneak peak?

    Revelation fork

    Mechanical brakes.

    So there's room for improvement...

    Oops!

I only researched the last 3 model years and as the frame shape has changed after 2010, I jumped to conclusions. It is a 2010 SJ HT. My bad.

    Sid WC fork

My 2010 29er Disc is a little over 33lbs, it is a 23" though. The crazy thing is my wife's 17.5" Gary Fisher Tarpon is almost 32lbs.

Ok then, I way 55 kilos (121.254 lbs)... Before you call me anorexic I'm 15 years old... My bike is a 2013 Trek Superfly SL Elite (Carbon running only full XT and a Fox Terralogic fork... Bontrager wheelset, carbon bars, alloy post, alloy stem... and the carbon frame is sub 950 grams (2.10 lbs)... ) The entire bike ways 9.7 Kg ( 21.3lbs) Plus say 3 kg (6.6 lbs) for water, lycra, garmin, helmet, glasses, gloves and shoes etc. And you end up with 67.7 Kg (149.253 lbs) Not bad I think...!

I've got a 2011 15" Motobecane Fantom 29er Comp. Upgrades/changes: Rockshox Recon Gold Air fork, Avid BB7 brakes, Raceface 100mm stem, Shimano clipless pedals and ODI Chunky grips...almost 30 lbs on the nose. Fortunately, I only notice how heavy it is when putting it on top of my car, not when riding the singletrack

I've got a 19 inch Motobecane Phantom Pro 29 SL (they can't mean super light, can they???). I've upgrades wheels to Sun Ringle Black Flag tubeless and swapped over some carbon bars and it weights 26 lbs on the nose.

    2010 GT Peace steel frame - 16"
    RockShox Recon 100mm fork
    1x9 drivetrain
    Mid grade parts
    Stan's Crest wheels

To go any lighter would start costing a lot of money....The price/lb just isn't worth it to me right now.

    Shimano xt brakes
Race Face Crank, bashguard, 34T and BB
    Azonic pedals

Just put the new bar and brakes on and am going for a ride. Finally finished my first build and it comes in at 23.4. Took me 4 months of buying parts. Thanks to everyone who posts pics and reviews as this is what I used to help get this done!

Thinking of some Crampon pedals in red as the final touch?

I have a transam and my guess is about 28 pounds. Never weighed it as I know it is on the heavy side which is good because I ride the crap out of it on technical rocky chunk.

They have been good. Tough to get tires on, but they sealed up nicely. They were a big improvement from the ones that came on the bike. I would buy them all over again.

After some recent minor stuff, my 15.5" Stumpy EVO HT is at 22.86 (repeating of course). Major weight savings have been Niner Carbon RDO seatpost, S-Works Carbon Prowess bar, lighter weight rotors, and most signficiant, Roval Control Wheels and lighter tires (S-Works Fast Trak front and Renegade Control rear). Pedals, stem, and cassette get me to 22.5 or below. Nothing stupid, just dependable high-quality upgrades.

See my signature..medium emd frame, 1x10, tubeless with maxxis crossmark and ignitor on the heaviest stans rims = 25.5 lbs give r take. I could run a lighter rear 11-34 casssete (SLX 380gms) and lose the heavy-ish but blingy spank royola bars (350 gms) as well as the moove torque pedals (470 gms) but they more than make up for the extra weight thanks to thier looks and bomb proof performance. I weight in around 215 so weight weenie bikes really do me no good in the longrun.

How much does your 29er hard tail weigh?

I have a stock 2013 Scott Scale 940 that weighs 26 lbs. I haven't really looked at what needs to be swapped or weight reduction yet. The front wheel with rotor, tube, and tire is lighter than my 2006 M4 Stumpjumper HT 26" front wheel, so I'm content for now.
