Thanks for the info! Sounds like a damn good set up for me. How do you like the Chinese carbon wheelsets? Are they reliable and strong for everyday use?

20lbs? Impressive with an XL frame! Looks very nice.

    2012 Niner Air 9 RDO 20lbs,
SID World Cup fork, Carbon crown.
ZTR Race rear wheel, Crest Front
    XTR Shifters/Brakes
    XO Carbon cranks

    Mint ride.! love it.

Could knock off some weight with lighter seat, but love the Gel seat, and will suck up the 150gm weight penalty.

26 lbs with pedals and cages. Basically stock Superfly with carbon bar and seat post, wheels will drop weight a bit should I get away from stock.

A bit too much right now. Mostly stock '12 Jamis Dragon Sport, 17". According to the catalog 31lbs.

It does seem to ride lighter than that, but some weight loss is in its near future.

Agreed! It's hard to get a somewhat light bike for those of us who ride XL or larger frames.

    This here 21" VooDoo Soukri

weighs around 28lbs. Not a light build by any stretch. But then I'm a 220lb'er.

It's called a Slingshot. Old school.

My El Mariachi is 25-28 in SS depending on tire selection.
I crashed hard enough on my Tallboy to break my leg,
The carbon is way more durable than most people.

My 2012 Superfly 100 Elite weighs about 26.2 lbs with pedals. To lose about 2 lbs overall I would have to spend roughly $1,000.
I weigh 180 lbs at 6'0". To lose 2 lbs I would have to watch what I eat for a couple of weeks and ride more. In terms of dollars I would save about 180 cents a day.

Seems like an easy choice, until 3:00 in the afternoon comes around and I'm hungry

Edit: I didn't catch the hardtail in the topic right away. My Redline hardtail weighs 24.4 lbs...
