    how about the Maddux Explorer Disc T2 Wheelset?

    im on a budget vassago build. these are cheap and would look nice.

    Nice price, but the rims seem kinda narrow & I'm not familiar with the hubs - I'd really check those out b/c a cheap wheelset loses it's value pretty quickly if you have to rebuild the hubs. I'd check out a set of Blunts w/ XT hubs - you can get them off eBay for around $250

    20mm width is going to be seriously restrictive for your tires. That is about the same width as a Mavic Open Pro road rim.

    the low spoke count was the deal breaker for me. 24 spokes and 29er sized wheels don't mix in my opinion. I guess if you are really, really light they would be alright. I agree with the above post about XT hubs and blunts from wheel and sprocket for $239, much better deal.
