    Horny

Horned lizards are the coolest, gnarliest of reptiles. They have that aggro, prehistoric, dino-vibe.

    But, they are very docile.

Havenít been spending a whole lot of time in the dirt, lately. Itís summertime, and playing in the water has been scratching my itch. But, Shoniqua was feeling neglectedÖso..I felt obliged to caress her fat bottom with some hot granite.

Up here in NorCal, I miss having "horny toads" around on the trails. San Diego used to be covered in those things when I was a kid. Hopefully they are still doing well. I was pretty stoked to find them one day in Fort Ord (Monterey area) that is only an hour or so away, it was the first time I'd seen one in years!. Nice close-up Aqua!

I found a horny toad drowned at the bottom of my pool in Tucson. I scooped him up in the pool net and walked over to the house to show my kids.
The kids thought it was cool. They had their faces about 6 inches away from that soggy dead toad, when all of a sudden he opened his eyes and sucked in a huge breath of air!! He came back to life!!
Man you should have seen those kids jump! (and me too!) I'm laughing out loud as I type this.

From the thread title, I was expecting another Aqua + Fo lovefest, so I avoided opening the thread.

Bad call. You should have listened to your inner voice.

As for numbnuts (Fo)...He's been avoiding me, ever since he hooked up with that mail order bride from some eastern block country.

Not to veer too hard back onto the original topic, but, Horned Lizards are rare now? Are they losing habitat like so many other critters, or is it a more insidious thing like the issues amphibians and honey bees are having world wide?

Sad if so, I remember seeing a lot of them in Sedona hiking on the trails as a kid when I went out there to visit with my grandparents. Very cool little dudes....

As for Fo's new wife? Ouch, shoulda held out for an Asian bride at least!
