    hello

    howdy all!
for starters i am brand new to mountain biking. 19 marlin 7 ordered but not here yet. i haven't put my foot on pedals since i got my drivers license.
any tips, hints, or warnings greatly appreciated.

i am 55 and evidently haven't broken enough bones in my life so i decided to give peddling through the woods a try.

i am not exactly sure what i have to offer here but i will be glad to share what i learn as i learn it.

i appreciate being allowed the chance to participate and will do my best not to mess that up.

Welcome, this place will teach you a lot! And drain your savings if you let it We have a 50+ forum you can check out.

For tips: Just start pedaling, in no time you will want to ride more, and further.

Get some tire repair kit, tube/pump/patchkit/tire levers. Maybe a small multi-tool.

Hydration: Camelback and/water bottles. Some snacks.

Cycling shorts will help the butt a lot.

Pictures when the bike arrives, and ride it like you stole it!

    Hey, welcome!

I see you're from Georgia. I'm in Marietta. If you're close and need any trail info or would like meet up for a ride, let me know. I'll be 55 next month.

PS, you're gonna regret that user name after a few years.
