Cool-blue Rhythm good deal on Haro Mary XC Expert?

Sun and Ski Sports is selling the 2011 Haro Mary XC Expert for $999, plus I have a $20 coupon. So comes out to about $980.

Deore FD and shifter, Deore XT RD. Mazarocchi fork. Hydraulic brakes.

Good deal? Good bike? The thing that worries me is that it is a discontinued model, but I think the Haro company in general is still going strong...

Steel frame 32.6 pounds. Goblin is +200 with a 100mm Reba fork and 4 pounds lighter with a lifetime frame warranty.

Good deal and a good bike, considering the XC Expert had an msrp of $1600. I wouldn't worry about it being a discontinued model, the frame is 4130 cromoly steel, so unless you beat the absolute snot out of it, it should last a good long time. The component mix isn't stellar, but it's solid. So unless there are components that you simply don't like, it should preclude and major upgrades until something breaks or wears out. So yeah, a good bike and a good deal. You could do a lot worse for $900.
