    giant XTC

    Hey all,

I have recently purchased a Giant 29er XTC and is a great bike. I have been riding a full suspension and a I have a new found respect for hardtail riders. Descending at high speeds is quite different as it bounces around and I need to get used to it. I am impressed at how pro racers descend the trails they do at the speed they do! I like the XTC and currently do not own a fully anymore. I hope riding a hardtail makes me a better rider. As for the XTC, it is by far the best climbing bike I have ever ridden. And compared to the 26er hardtail it does float over roots and rocks.

Congrats!!!! And welcome back to line choosing. I have been back on hardtails solely for about 4 years now and am still having a blast. I would like to pick up a new fully AM at some point but the Paradox is working for me now.
I like to ride Bikes. This might be turning into an obsession, not sure?

I loved my XTC. I just sold it, but it was such a solid bike. Consider playing with a shorter stem to pull you back off the bars a bit if the downhill is not confident inspiring. My XTC was raked out and moving it in with 90mm stem on the LARGE made the entire bike feel more free flowing.
