Giant Talon 2 29er fork upgrade

So I want to upgrade my front forks but don't know where to start. Any guidance? I've check out forks that require axles instead of quick releases. Should I upgrade my wheels at the same time?

To explain my use, I mainly hit light trails and commute. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks.

If you don't plan on taking off your front wheel, then switch to the axle. If you are ever planning to get your bike in a car or on a stable roof rack, I'd stay with a QR.
I ride a bike with probably the same Suntour fork as is on yours. I'm considering a Rockshox Recon Silver TK 29 fork to replace mine...
A lighter wheelset will probably make the most difference in how your bike rides, regardless of the fork!
