convert the wheels to tubeless, and you will be much happier in life

Not really sure what you are asking. You want to use 26" tubes on a 29er wheel? the answer is no if so.

Tubeless will help you since you don't need to worry about tubes and punctures anymore.

But it is quite expensive to upgrade.
    You need special tyres.

But I wouldn't recommend to try 26 tubes for 29er.

Before I had tubless wheels I used a puncture repair kit to fix the problem.
It is cheap and you don't need a new tube.

Tubeless tires have sealant in them, which almost eliminates flats from small punctures and pinch flats. Look up stan's no tubes conversion kit, they are the easiest and most popular to use. You can also do a search on here for ghetto tubeless, which is a homemade kit.
Or you can just do what rotor suggested and repair your flats.

I've been using 26" tubes on 29er wheels for years without any problems.

well i stand corrected. I wouldn't think they would stretch that much. It's almost a foot difference in circumference.

You can use 26 " tubes. I've done it a number of times before. You may have to work a bit depending on the tube but they will work.

26er tubes absolutely work in 29er wheels. Go tubeless.

As two useres had no issues with 26" tubes you could give it a try.

But I still don't think that this is a good idea.
Especially with super light tubes I would definetly advise you against this.

    26er's work, 700c wont.

If tubeless conversion seems expensive, you can try normal tubes with removable valve cores + you can add sealant easily.

Or,I think that they sell ready made tubes with sealant inside.

A tubeless conversion would be even better though ..

    Best Tubeless Brew?

A huge wealth of info in this thread on going tubeless. I run the V2 mixture with Stans rim strips and regular tires without an issue.

go tubeless... Make sure your tires are tubeless ready---use 1" gorilla tape to seal spoke holes on rim-- install stans valve onto rim(get the stans syringe and valve tool-- this makes replacing sealant much easier)--put tire on--inflate(i use a co2 cartridge to seal the tire-- then let the air out and pull the valve tip---and use the syringe to fill the sealant and the insert the valve end and refill with regular air-- this helps prevent buggers).. boom-- now your running tubeless... Like anything it will take a little bit to learn the first time-- but then youll have it.. Thorns-- pinch flats and rock holes will be a thing of the past... Plus you can run lower psi rates giving you more cush and grip then you would get with a tube..

I have to say the same but use stans tape, I did a project where I did one tire ghetto one stans and the stans held air way better than the goriila tape.Just my 2 cents.
