    First 29er and FS Bike!

Well I did it, I finally upgraded to my first 29er and FS bike!

I found a great deal on a 2013 Scott Spark 950 from a buddy of mine. It has upgraded Raceface Carbon bars and Spinergy Xyclone Rims and Shimano DX pedals.

I took it out for the first time on Monday and did about 8 miles of trails at the Santa Rosa Plateau in SoCal. What a difference a FS bike is for the overall experience. I still need to mess with the air pressure in the forks and shock, Forks felt a little stiff for me(6'4 275lbs).

At this point I am not sure if i want to go clipless with this bike or get some flat pedals, I ride road and use clipless pedals but have never rode MTN being clipped in.

clip in. I was in the same point and it really make a difference if you have a lot of climb sections, more easy, faster and less power used.

Congrats, it's always great bringing a new ride out, but getting that first FS dialed in was such a thing. I went nuts with mine. I don't think my wife ever recovered (90 days straight of riding it).
