    Exile + Reba 29 Race - 80 or 100mm?

Just had a 2008 Reba 29 Race installed on my Jamis Exile.

Right out of the box, anybody know if the 2008 Reba 29 Race is set at 80 or 100 mm travel?

I _think_ that the stock rigid fork on the Exile is suspension corrected for 100mm.

If the fork out of the box is set to 80mm, and that's how it was installed on the bike - any harm in riding it that way, or would I really benefit from having it adjusted to 100mm?

Would that be a DIY or LBS only adjustmen?

Thanks for any and all input!

look up this thread: Reba 80mm to 100mm Easy??

I just did it on mine to boost it to 100. If the black spacer is in there, it's set at 80.

I'd get schematics off the RS site first, too.

but it really is pretty straightforward if you're half handy around a bike.

    Good info...

Good info - especially clicking through to Rainman's blogs....

Anybody know how to check whether the fork is set to 80 or 100mm without opening it up to look for the spacers? How much stanchion is exposed in the 80mm versus the 100mm setting?

There was a ziploc bag in the box with two all-travel spacers - does that imply that the fork is set to 100mm, and adding the spacers would reduce it to 80mm? ...or could that just be an extra set of spacers - or, do those spacers replace larger spacers currently in the fork to increase travel from 80mm to 100mm?

    Thanks all,
