Forgot to mention price...$3,500. It even comes in another color option...Gloss black, with blue stripes. This thing is going to be crazy fast.

There were spy shots of one floating around last fall (sporting a CCDB-A), but it'll be interesting to see the launch.

I think this will really help develop the market for tires I want. And then there's the matter of the fork rumors that have been floating around. Happy times.

i honestly thought that stolen protobike thing was legit until they started popping out those video's of the Yeti/Sasquatch stealing then riding it.

still it's a pretty sexy bike for a 29er, but i love the look of the current 26" enduro... just wish i could afford one.

Typically not a specialized fan, but that bike has caught my attention. Definitely interested in hearing some real world feedback.

As Evasive said, only good thing about this in my books is the tyre selection it might help bring, other than that not a SpecialED fan - Boutique pricing for mass produced bikes. I'm more wondering WTF they're going to do when the FSR patent runs out and they can no longer go about suing everyone and holding back the market

Apparently. The interesting thing is if Spesh is going to move to seriously short stays in other 29er product lines. Very exciting actually. I was suspecting they will use XX1 as the way to do it but it looks like they made SRAM to produce proper FD too... Power of big numbers - and boutique brands will win too.

I think with 16.9'' stays this really kills the 650B initiative at Speshy...

Some of the material I've seen shows the 26'' Enduro CS vs. the 29 vs. some of the top 650Bs out there... So why do you need an in between wheel size?

Travel is 155mm rear and 150mm front... I'm getting a 650B this year but next year going to get the Sworks Enduro 29er and sell my Sworks Enduro 26er.

I think this bike is a game changer...

I think with this i would bet that the NEW Santacruz will be a Nomad 29er with 155mm (as "never seen --> 155mm on a 29er).
I enjoyed the Stumpy29er, but thought that it wasn't "my bike" due to long chainstays.

After this I must start thinking a reason for my wife, to have another bike at home. LOL!

While there are certainly things to dislike about the Big S, they DO make some excellent bikes. This looks like it's going to be another one. When they come through with their demo trailer this year, I'm definitely going to try and get a ride on one.

The fork is indeed a F34 in 150mm, with a Talas model except lower spec

Pretty darn interesting that a company like Specialized is doing a long-travel 29" with sub 17" chainstays. Let's see what they end up doing with hartails and shorter-travel bikes in the future.
