    crossmark vrs. 29er wtb vulpine

    thinking of picking up a 29er-2.1 fast set of tires,I ride 1/3 %road,1/3 %fire road 1/3 trail
    any input would be great

    Cheap and easy to get, WTB nano's - damn fine all round tyre, doesn't cost an arm, rolls decently, decent grip, put a Exi in the front if you need more front end traction or a Crossmark.

    With that much road riding, I'd stay away from the Vulpine, the road riding will account for most of your wear.

    That being said, I've got a rear Crossmark with 800 miles of pavement riding and it's fairly durable.

    There are plenty of choices that will suit your needs from what the others have mentioned.

    Also look at the Kenda Small Bloch Eight.

    As for the the Vulpine vs. Crossmark, in my opinion, if you want a little more traction go with the crossmark, if you want faster rolling go with the Vulpine.
