    This could be the one....

    thank you Forrest at Carver

As you may know I love my Krampus and ride the crap out of it here in socal but with a couple Ti bikes in the stable I have been wondering for a year what would a Ti Krampus be like.....

well now I know, it kicks ass!

    This could be the one....-ti-krampus-5.jpg

Gnarvester 19" frame with 12x142 dropouts
Niner tapered Carbon fork with 15mm lowers
Purple King headset, BB and hubs
Velocity Dually rims with purple alloy nipples and Knards set up tubeless
    Thomson cockpit
Easton Havoc Carbon handlebars with ODI Vans lock on grips with purple lock rings
XTR crankset with 32T Wolf Tooth ring
SRAM XX 11-36 cassette, XO type 2 RD and XO shifter
KMC 10 spd Gold chain - some bling lol!

24.4 lbs as it sits, yes!!

smooth and silky and when you stand up on the pedals it is go time!

    This could be the one....-ti-krampus-1.jpg

that was my "break in" ride but starting tomorrow it goes where the Krampus went which was everywhere!

I think the only time it got tough on the Krampus was sustained rock gardens at speed. Steeps and drops are no problem but once the Knard starts bouncing you just hang on lol!

1x1, did you need to use a "fat" style bottom bracket or just a regular one?

It is the standard 68/73mm BB from King with one spacer on the drive side.
Very happy to see the standard threaded BB is still alive

Just got mine built up the other day. 21 lbs 3 oz, but I have plans to get it under 20. I've gotten to take it out a few times to harvest some gnar already, and it is awesome!

The only 29+ tires available at this time are the Surly Knard 29x3.0.

Looks like you both are going with the Niner carbon fork. Just curious if either/both of you considered going with the Carver carbon forks? Did A/C measurements make a difference in the decision?

I've used the Niner forks for years. I didn't buy a new fork for this build- I just used the Niner that had been on my Krampus the last six months.
