    Compliant Carbon 29ers

    Its time for an upgrade...

After racing on my aluminum superfly for the past 3 years, i think its time to get a new frame. The aluminum frame is brutal an rocks an fast descents. I have decent parts on it now so I am looking at a frame or frame set.

I have looked at the Bmc Te01 frame because of the slacker geo and compliant rear triangle. Only problem is its a little expensive.

Any other ideas on reasonably prices 29ers that i can do 12-24 hour races on comfortably and is light enough for XC.

    Compliant Carbon 29ers

Are you running large volume tires, tubeless, at low pressures?

I am currently running 2.4f and 2.2r with about 20 psi, so I would say yes.

Try the new geo Superfly 9.6-9.8. Totally compliant and a complete change from last year's carbon SF which was stiff.
But an added option with a 30mm inside dim wheelset the added volume will give you more cushion. On the 9.8 it makes the rear match the front and the front solo air fork finally have some small bump compliance. I got credit for the oem wheels, cockpit and drive components at purchase. The frameset is sold separately in Europe, so email Trek to get it added to US offerings.

Look at the XMI Play Chinese IP-106. It is UD carbon with compliance built into the rear stays very similar to the Focus Raven 1.0 frameset.

It rides really nicely. Its a hardtail so its still stiff but its a lot less stiff than an aluminum frame. Its the same bike as the IP-057 basically but with more compliance built into the rear stays. Lots of people have over 3-4k miles on them in the last couple of years with basically no failures. The Frame is 400 +80 Shipping to your door in about 2 weeks direct from China. XMI play, ask for Peter he speaks good english.
