    I think that you just confused Scott's model, it's a Spark 940.

I'm in exactly the same dilemma, between a Spark or Neuron. The only detail that draws me closer to Scott is the head tube angle 67.2 vs 69.3, because on the equipment(suspension, seat, weels, transmission), the Canyon wins easily.

I double checked and I'm pretty sure I did not make any mistake. The description is for the 930, not the 940.

Anyways, I went for the Spark 930 (the wait for the Canyon was way too long for the XL size !). As you said, regarding the equipment, Canyon handily wins the contest !
    So far so good.

I switched the group set from a 2x11 shimano xt to a Sram EAGLE GX 12 speed group with a sunrace cassette.

You're absolutely right, it's really the Spark 930. My mistake. Beautiful bike, congratulations.

As I can wait, I am still very doubtful of which to choose. Spark's geometry is indecent, and attracts me too much. But in my case I will buy it in Portugal, and the difference between Scott and Canyon is literally 1000 euros.

If time was not a problem, would you choose Canyon?

1000 euros if you compare the same components, like Canyon 8 vs Spark 940.

I faced the same deal here in Europe. If you are a bit of a handy-man, I would go for the Canyon. The difference between the price and the equipment is pretty huge... No regret with the Scott, but the look and the components of the Canyon Neuron 8/9 makes it a beautiful bike also !

Tough choice to make. But anyhow, both are very nice for middle range bikes.
