    Soukri + flex?

Hi. Awesome Pic, i've been considering getting me one too! Ihave ridden a steel 26" HT in Reynolds 853 and it's a great bike except for a little flex in the backend. Especially noticeable in tight, high speed turns. How does the Soukri behave in the same situation?

    Cheers

    MCR Flex?

Hi. Awesome bike! I'm planning for either a Niner M.C.R or a Voodoo Soukri for my next bike. I'm really interested to know if there is any noticeable flex in the frame? particularly in the backend? Chainstays? I have a Reynolds 853 steel HT (26") and I have noticed a bit of flex in the backend especially on fast tight bends.

    Cheers

This was an experiment that went horribly right. Want to get 15mm or 20mm rigid fork and nicer wheels. Other than that loving it. Ride it more than my SC Nomad C.

    Well... time to ride.

    I'll play.

This is actually my 3rd 29er but the first one I've actually really liked. Got to ride it through the end of the summer and can't wait to throw a leg over it again this spring. Set up with gears right now, but 10 minutes gets me back over to the SS set up. Planning a new Sultan for this summer, we will see how far I get with that.

    happy trails...

    Titus/Asylum

Let see some love for Titus.
I still love how this bike rides and with the demise of Titus, not sure what to look at next. I'd also love some upgrades....New Hope Race X2 disc brakes, Fox Terralogic fork........

    Representing Mandalorian Pride.

    Motobecane Outcast 29 Disk

Handspun comp Velocity P35/Sram 506 wheelset (terrible hubs)
RST M29 80mm fork in green.
Avid bb5s (will be replaced by bb7s... I hate my bb5s)
    Forte Bars and Stem
    Avid Fr-5 levers
ESI racers edge grips (battle scarred, will replace with some chunkies soon)
Origin 8 green saddle (also battle damaged, since I abuse this bike. won't miss it once i replace it. terribly uncomfortable saddle)
    WTB Weirwolf 2.55 front tire
    WTB Exiwolf 2.3 rear tire.
    Truvativ Isoflow crank set
    Nashbar Highlander pedals (excellent pedals)
    Nashbar Nashguard.
Some green parts. Some bought green, some rattle-canned.

And gotta love the Mandalorian Bantha skull headtube decal.

I really like the ride, however, I have never had the pleasure of riding a light weight geared bike. My other mountain bike is a single speed and is ligtish I suppose. I can't really feel the extra weight and she still has me enamored with the big wheels and gears and suspension and whatnot.......ignorance is bliss i suppose!

Very nice looking Potts. I still have a couple months wait until my name comes up in the Que. They should end up looking pretty similar as far as parts go. Do you have any more pics and if you don't mind me asking what was your wait time, Steve told me about 4 months at the beginning of Nov when I sent my deposit.

From a short ride today. Yes, I need to slide the saddle back some. I recently switched out the seat post and hastily put it back on. Didn't realize this until I was already out on the ride. Oh, and the matching rear cog will be on shortly.

Here's my other one, if you consider it a 29er, but I surely do ride it like one. Planning on some deep section rims and 42c tires for it.

Thanks! I actually stripped the whole thing down to raw aluminum. An aerosol can of paint remover and 30 min it was all off!

Thats a great idea, I had no idea you could do that. Will the raw aluminum look ok after use?

Oh and how do you like the frame? Any negatives?

Seems to look ok. You could polish it out or leave it raw like I did. My plan is to periodically hit it with a scotch brite pad or steel wool to bring some luster back. So far so good. I have 2 rides on it so far and I am very happy with it.

Did you have that cap custom etched or did you buy it somewhere? I have to have one for my Misfit.

My Ti On One has gone rigid, so the Rebas went on my Diamondback Mojito ( Overdrive I think it's called in the U.S). Lengthend the fork to 120mm for bigger hits. SKS 29er front mud guard which is doing a great job in the wet.

I'll play along. This is my custom True Fabrication Bicycles 29er SS.

The first two pictures show the diversity of the powder coating. It's an amazing bike.

Me and my bike in action. I mostly ride it XC, but I had to get out of the crummy winter weather and Bootleg was about the only place close that I could ride. Unfortunately none of my XC friends went on the trip. It's ok, I have fun riding DH too.

This is what I'm riding. I have a Gravity Dropper and a 50mm stem on it as well as Sunline V1 bars now.

Rockhopper 29er SS .. work in progress ... so far it hasn't hit the trails in months .. makes a great commuter though.

-Avid BB7s w/ 185 Magura rotor front / 160 Avid rotor rear (tried putting the 185 rear, but modulation issues made me switch back)

-Merek carbon flat bar .. taiwanese carbon, who would've knew?

-Maxxis Ignitors .. great deal off a demo bike.

-Tora fork (Just slightly better than the Dart 3s they came with .. i think. Need more money to save for a better fork or go FS)

-Wellgo B103s which are SUPER awesome by the way.

    -Raceface 36T DH chainring

-Beastly KMC 1/8 chain which by the way is beastly. I lost the masterlink plate .. still solid!

Coming soon .. like in the next 2 months ..
    -pearl white bling paint!
-notubes conversion on stock Alex rims .. *crosses fingers*
