I second that, more shots of this one.

Dugast tubulars make any machine awesome, to look at anyway since gluing tubulars is mental torture. How much do those tires cost btw?

The problem with pixetraush's bike is that it looks so good, I would never be able to bring myself to ride it. Thank God my bikes are more average!

How is the front end steering on that bike? Is it floppy at all? Any idea of what the trail figure is with that 140mm fork and that 67 degree head tube angle??

I wouldn't say i've noticed any floppiness at all, though slacker angles are more what i am used to. I have a 6" fs 26er that probably has about 67 or so HA too, and is my closest comparable bike. I just finished a ride with lots of slow, rooty, twisty sections up and down rolling hills. Handled it better than anything i have ever ridden before. It definitely shines when it opens up a bit though, and in the corners. I love the rolling stability of the big wheels, and havn't noticed any of the negative handling traits that i hear people whining about when the talk about 29ers. I've never had so much fun on a hardtail.

is that a single speed with a hammerschmidt upfront? I've been thinking about that setup for a while now. I want to go either 1x10 or 2x1 like yours.

How do you like the setup?

So sad that this 3.5 pound frame comes in at 28.25 lbs, but I'm gonna ride it stock til it breaks (or until the seat gets the better of me).

I just got into mountain biking. Decided to go with a 29er. I might do 2-3 things to the bike if I get hooked to mountain biking. Possibly buy a better mountain bike after a year or two.

    my ride

Here's my bike: Fisher X-Cal, stock, with look pedals. Geometry is amazing, even with the big wheels it's more agile than any other MTBs I've owned since 1997! Everything works to my satisfaction so far except the saddle which is quite unconfortable. I got a defective fork when I bougth the bike, but fox sent me a new one for free! Upgrades in the future will be: a new saddle, and a king rear hub

You have a great eye, I never thought you could tell the make from these pics. The bell is because this is my commuter bike and well, some cyclists (mostly old people) get mad when you pass them without ringing. I only put the Lefty on because I had it for sale for 3 months and nobody wanted to pick it up for the price I had it on sale for (which was not unreasonable). It fits like a glove, I had 1mm of play between the headset cups and the braces. I had to fiddle a bit and cut the lower race so I wouldn't have to hammer it on the steerer. I could have used a lower stack headset, but why if it fits, right?

Just wondering because at almost 9" of exposed seatpost I thought I had a lot showing. Of course the swoopy top tube would tend to cause more exposed post. Great looking bike and color me jealous!
