@Longhaultrucker- I love the jabber. Gots one myself. Some people say it's preference, but I highly recommend running that front brake line on the inside of the fork. On the Reba- you need two zip ties- one on the bridge and one on the lower just under the bridge/ stanchion. Run it inside to avoid it getting caught on anything and it will also line up with the caliper a little better.

Just getting the finishing touches done - a little dirty and need to cut the steerer tube, but it's been fast so far....just under 24 pounds now.

    Superfly 100 (2010)

Ok, I had to post. I love this bike so much!

To give a little bike background. 2007-2009 rode a Tomac Synper 140 (26") and last year I rode an Epic 29er. I just came off a 2011 Lynskey Ridgeline

The Superfly 100 has been my favorite so far. Believe the hype my friends. It handles great (cornering and tight cockpit) and climbs like a mountain goat. I was worried at first about pedal bob (coming off an Epic and Lynskey) but that was laid to rest after my first ride.

The Superfly is a GREAT XC bike with all the best qualities - just my opinion.

    Here's my break down:
    - 2010 Superfly 100 and Fox F29 RLC G2 Offset Fork
    - Stan's Crest 29er Wheelset with American Classic Hubs (1460 Grams)
    - Niner Carbon Flat Bar (sweet bar!)
    - XX Crankset - XT Pedals
    - XX Shifters
    - XX Rear Derailleur and Cassette
    - X0 Front Derailleur
    - Avid Elixir Brakes and Rotors
    - Bontrager Race XXX Lite Carbon Seatpost
    - Specialized Phenom Saddle
    - Thomson Elite Stem

actually no, lot's people are running 1x10 (or 1x9) without guides

i've not had any issues at all stomping the crankset as hard as my little legs can muster - XX medium RD is keeping perfect chain tension

    might make one though

    ...2 days later edit...

just a tad paranoid now about the chain jumping while at full kilter - so ordered an e.13 chain guide last night ...after building that a9c i'm too skint to afford any hospital bills

Dang, I haveNt seen too many, lol. But then again, I haven't seeno too many sub 15lb mtn bikes neither :-P

And yeah, go for it and make your own, I know this guy who works at a cnc shop and he made a real sweet one for cross.

But that excites me about the tension on the xx med cage rear derailleur, mines sitting in a box just begging to be put on my bike :-D

    @EGF168:

Do these ugly stickers on the rims come off easily?

I hate them on my 29er FSR comp,
but until now I thought that they´d leave ugly traces and stuff?

The Expert looks great in that stickerless trim!

They come off easy enough…but leave some glue behind. Removing the remaining glue isn’t hard but would have been faster if I could find my white spirit.

I think the whole bike looks a lot better without them!

    Thanks!

I´ll go ahead and peel them off.

I´d love to get a light wheelset though. Some Stans Crest and Hope hubs or something...

2009 GF Paragon frame with Roxshox Recon Silver TK, BB7, shimano deore derailleurs with sram shifters, Bontrager Rhythm Comp wheels and race face atlas bar. huge step up over what I was using before. I love it

oh and I need to replace those platforms quick. They have no grip and I have a feeling they are going to break soon, made out of plastic. I've got my eye on these: http://www.pricepoint.com/detail.htm...d=240%20DMRV87. Would like to stick with red, compliments the bike nicely. any other recommendations?

    My Epic Carbon Comp 29er

Love this bike. Was riding an Epic 26er until I got a SS 29er and I was ruined. Running Fox F100 G2 and it handles like a dream. Upgrading wheelset next... flimsy stock rims and hubs.

I was also riding an Epic 26er, heavily upgraded, until I got a SS 29er (Spot Longboard posted earlier in this thread). Now the Epic just collects dust... Anyone want an Epic?

I sold my Epic 26er frame on Craigslist about a week after I finished my first 29er build. I was able to build 2 more bikes for my kids off of the money I made on that bike.

Love the bike, but more importantly. What a great way to determine seat height in relationship to bar/stem height. You get the alignment perfect just by putting it up to an aluminum garage door!

    Sweet!

Finally got out on my new Rig (just pavement for now... still 3"+ of snow on the trails). Just threw new brakes, bar & grips on this friday.
Tires are backordered but are coming soon (Ikons)

    Aaaahhh,

Nice Rig Bud It's interesting how many of us change the bars on the GF's, I did the same thing on my Cobia ( the post above yours ). I found the 15 degree sweep on mine to be a bit much.

Nice lookin bike you got there, enjoy !

    Thanks.

A little more "look at me" than I intended, but still happy with the way it turned out. The ride is pretty awesome, too.
