Buying my first 29ER, hard decision between two GT bikes

My LBS is having a sale on 2013 Zaskar 9R Sport and Karakoram 1.0. I love both bikes and they both offer good components. Would someone mind shedding some light on the two bikes?

    Thank you!

Did you test ride both of them? That will tell you which one to get.

I did and it is very close.

I found a great deal on a Fuji tahoe 1.0 29er on craigslist. Is this a good bike?

I was very impressed with the zaskar sport, it feel like a much more solid bike than the karakoram. Even the littlest details like metal brake levers and a much more solid braking feel.

Just picked up the zaskar 9r sport at probably the same "lbs" you're going to, you won't be disappointed. I love this bike and have beaten the crap out of it already, I'm really enjoying it, and its a great price right now.

Awesome news! I've searched everywhere online for the Fuji Tahoe 1.0 29ER and can't find anything. The guy only wants 850 and the components are very good. I just need to know the quality of the bike

Yes it's a 19 inch frame which is the right size for me. I've yet to test ride it. He's about 45 minutes away. I just wanted to see if it was worth my time if anyone has any experience with that particular bike.

Yeah, for your 1st 29er is great, go for it if the price is right but make sure that the condition is good first..

Buying new from the bike shop could pay off in the long run in the form of free tune-ups, future sales, warranty issues, etc.

How much for the GT's btw?

The zaskar 9r Sport is 899 at performance bike right now. Combine that with points and its a hell of a deal.
